Vassily Tsibliev

The deputy head of Star City, and much loved commander, Vassily Tsibliev. He is famous for having the challenging task of being commander of the Mir station during some of its most difficult times, including a fire and a depressuzation of the station that required isolating and sealing off a module permanently. This picture shows Vassily presenting the crew to the formal commission that would certify them fit to fly.
